Who we are
These terms cover brightwickworks.com, learn.brightwickworks.com and the Minus to Plus course. They're run by Brightwick Works, P.O. Box 2005, Porcupine, ON P0N 1C0, Canada. By using the site or buying the course, you agree to these terms. Questions: hello@brightwickworks.com.
Education, not financial advice
Minus to Plus, the trackers, the quiz, the Brightwick Daily game and everything else on our site are for general education only. They aren't personal financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and they don't account for your personal situation. We aren't a registered adviser or dealer. Tax and contribution limits change every year, so check current figures with the CRA or IRS, or with a qualified professional, before acting. Examples, such as Sarah's worked example, are for teaching only. Investing has risks, including losing money, and past results don't promise future ones. Before making big money decisions, think about your own situation and talk to a qualified professional if you need to.
Buying the course
- Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). If your card uses another currency, your bank sets the exchange rate. Any price shown in US dollars is approximate.
- Sales tax that applies, such as GST/HST, QST or US sales tax, is calculated and added at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects a purchase you've already made.
- Checkout runs on Thinkific, so Thinkific's own terms apply to your account and payment as well.
- Discount codes work only while they're active and only up to their limits, such as the end date or number of uses. Unless we say otherwise, you can use one code per order. Codes have no cash value.
Refunds
You have a 14-day money-back guarantee. The details are in our Refund policy.
Your course access
When you buy Minus to Plus, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the course for as long as we offer it. Your access ends if you get a refund. It's paused while a card dispute is open. We may also end it if you break these terms.
We may update lessons to keep them accurate, such as new tax limits or rules. If we ever stop offering the course, we'll give you reasonable notice so you can save your notes and sheets.
What you can and can't do with the materials
The lessons, trackers, quiz, game, designs and text belong to Brightwick Works.
- You can: use the course and make copies of the trackers for yourself and your household.
- You can't: share your login, resell or give away the lessons or trackers, post them publicly, or use them to make a competing product.
Copies of trackers you've made stay yours, even after a refund, under these same rules. After a refund, we no longer give support or updates for the sheets.
Using the site fairly
Please don't try to break, overload or get around the security of the site or the course platform. Don't use it for anything illegal.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep the course and trackers accurate and working. Still, they're provided as they are, and we can't promise they'll be error-free or right for your situation. Check important numbers yourself, especially for taxes and investments.
Limits on our responsibility
As far as the law allows, Brightwick Works isn't responsible for losses that come from money decisions you make using our materials. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the course. Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.
Links to other sites
We link to outside sites and services, such as Wealthsimple, the Canada Revenue Agency and Google. We don't control them, and their own terms apply. Some links may be referral links. If we earn something from one, we'll say so.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you live in another province, state or country, you may also have protections under your local consumer laws.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and we'll change the date at the top when we do. The version in place when you bought applies to your purchase.
